Renewable Resource
  • Unlike plastic and other packaging materials that are extracted from the earth, PaceSetter Ridgeline uncoated recycled paperboard is made using 100% recycled fiber content (minimum 45% post-consumer) that starts with trees, a renewable resource.
Recyclability
  • Paperboard cartons are generally viewed as being widely recycled with >90% of U.S. communities having access to recycling for non-poly-coated paperboard and 60% of communities having access to recycling for poly-coated paperboard (American Forest and Paperboard Association’s Study 2021).
Renewable Energy
  • We use up to 65% renewable biomass energy in the manufacturing of our paperboard

Fiber Procurement and Chain of Custody
  • As part of our sustainability strategy, Ä¢¹½TVÏÂÔØ is committed to sourcing wood and paperboard material from certified chain of custody and non-controversial sources. All the recycled paperboard that Ä¢¹½TVÏÂÔØ sells meets the requirements of the Recycled Paperboard Alliance 100% (RPA100), Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®), Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®, FSC-C106260), the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC, PEFC/29-31-244) Chain of Custody and SFI Certified Sourcing programs.
  • The RPA100 certification program, which is third party audited, validates that the paperboard is made with 100% recycled fiber.  A copy of our current certificates can be found on our website.  
Environmental and Safety
  • Complies with California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (California Proposition 65)
  • Complies with European Union Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)
  • Contains no REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) at levels above the 0.1% threshold
  • Complies with CONEG/Toxics in Packaging laws and with Article 11 of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive (94/62/EC)
  • Complies with RPA 100 
Compostability
  • Paperboard is manufactured from wood fiber from sustainably managed forests. As there is no specific test for paper compostability, it is recommended that ASTM 6400, 6868, or similar test methods are used to verify the compostable nature of paperboard or paperboard packaging.
